We have two types of lasers in our office. One laser is used for gums and soft tissues, the other is used for tooth surfaces. The soft tissue laser is used to perform minor gum surgery with no bleeding and quicker healing time. It is also used to assist in periodontal treatment to decrease gum infection. The hard tissue laser is used to remove decay and in most cases does not require freezing. This advanced method of treatment is most beneficial for children and adults that are uneasy about needles. This laser is also used to sterilize root canal teeth to further assist in success of treatment. |
