Lasers are non-ionizing. There is no risk of cancerous changes in treated areas. Both the patient and the operator wear protective eye wear during laser procedures to protect against eye damage. Sometimes the treated area may become red and warm but this reaction is due to the increase in circulation and removal of waste products.
