International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT)

The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) is a professional organization which consists of dentists, physicians and other health researchers throughout the world who are seeking a way to improve dentistry today. Their main concern is the use of mercury in the common silver filling. The IAOMT is dedicated to funding scientific research in the area of toxins used in dentistry as well as providing further education and promoting health to the public. This organization is trying to seek the least toxic way to accomplish treatment and non-invasive therapies. IAOMT is the only organization that has created specific protocols for the safe and proper removal of mercury fillings.

The IAOMT administers a special certification program for physicians and dentists. These health care providers are interested in the basics of biological dentistry, especially mercury-free dentistry. Those who complete the IAOMT requirements and have a thorough understanding of the proper protocol for removal of mercury amalgam fillings in a safe manner, qualify for accreditation with International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
